How do I know that the Powerbots are actually trustworthy?

The Powerbots are trustworthy because we are actually a group of kids who strive to help people in need. This website is also for the Project part of the FLL (First Lego League)



 

How can I help people who have been affected by natural causes?

You can help in 3 ways:

1. Join the PB& J World - network with other PowerBots in the world and especially in the disaster area

2. Communicate with those affecgted in the disasater area - Chat, video chat, talk with them

3. Donate money in our “Donate Now” tab at the bottom of the home page. You will be able to Choose what your money will be donated for and will be able to see where your money will be going

 

Who are the Powerbots?

The Powerbots are a group of five 6th graders in Tom Matsumoto Elementary School who all wanted to make a difference in the world . This is our 2nd year in the FLL Program. The Powerbots consists of: Anshul Rao, Mehar Singh,  Rahul Mamtora,  Rahul Setlur, and Sunay Sanghani

 

Which expert(s) have the PowerBots  talked to get information in PB&J World or did you use other sources of information?

We talked to expert Matt (using Skype) as well as using other sources of information like the internet and books. Who is Matt?

Matt is an expert that went to Gujarat. He helped rebuild Gujarat from the damage caused by the Gujarat Earthquake. He experienced this first hand and was able to tell us more about what he did and how people felt about what he did. How is PB&J World unique from other organizations?

In PB&J World, people from around the world can become members. These members can donate money and see where their money is being used around the world. You will be able to choose out of a list of items what your money will be used for (toys, food, water, etc.) . Also, you will be able to see how much money all the PB&J World members donated and how much money is donated per item. We will also have a section for jokes, video blogs, and video chat for all the people affected.

 

Why make a website like this?

The Powerbots have always wanted to help other people, so the idea of a website that helps people who have been affected by natural disasters sounded great to us. This website is also a part of our project the FLL Project Game. The FLL Project Game is where a team has to do a project about “Natures Fury” (That was the theme this year for the Project Game). We thought our website would be a great idea for the Project Game.

 

How did the Powerbots do last year during the FLL Project Game?

We were very good in the Project Game last year. We came first place in the Silicon Valley District tournament and second place in the Silicon Valley tournament. The theme for that year was “Senior Solutions”. For that, we made a multiple purpose cane for seniors. It is also patent pending.
